Platform overview
ENABLE is a secure, white-label portal that sits on top of your Power BI environment and your data warehouse. Each organisation gets its own portal with dashboards, plain-language questions, custom dashboards, apps and a data API, all under one login, one access model and one audit log.
Here is what is happening in the Acme Groothandel analytics portal.
Architecture
Your sources stay where they are. Their data comes together in your data warehouse and your Power BI model. ENABLE is the layer where people use that data: securely, per role and in your own branding.
ERP, CRM, accounting, point-of-sale and other systems where your data is created.
Your PostgreSQL data warehouse and your Power BI workspaces with the semantic model.
The portal: dashboards, SQL Explorer with AI, custom dashboards, apps and the data API.
Modules
All modules run on the same access model, the same login and the same audit log. Pilot modules are switched on per organisation.
How ENABLE works
An ENABLE portal is set up in five steps. The order is the same as in the platform itself: connect first, then configure, and only then invite people.
ENABLE connects your Power BI workspace through a Microsoft Entra service principal and your data warehouse through an encrypted connection. Reports, pages and visuals are synchronised.
Logo, colours, light or dark theme, the login page and the menu: the portal gets your branding and its own portal address. You choose which dashboards and apps go in.
Access profiles bundle dashboards and apps per group. With row-level security, everyone sees only their own region, branch or customer within the same dashboard.
You first view the portal through a user's eyes. Then the invitations go out, in the recipient's language and with two-factor authentication by email.
Dashboards, plain-language questions, custom dashboards and apps in one place. Everyone sees when the data was last refreshed, and Data Analytics monitors the health and usage of your dashboards every day.
Live, with your data, in your branding.
Roles
Sees the dashboards and apps from their own access profiles, with favourites and recently viewed. Within a dashboard, sees only the rows that belong to them.
Manages the users, access profiles and apps of their own organisation, sees the activity log and uses the SQL Explorer by default.
Data Analytics sets up portals, connects Power BI and the data warehouse, approves data sources and AI-built apps, and monitors the health of all dashboards.
FAQ
ENABLE connects your Power BI workspace and your data warehouse to a dedicated portal per organisation. In that portal, users see the dashboards and apps from their access profiles, ask questions of the data in plain language and, when that module is enabled, build their own dashboards.
Not for the dashboard portal: that works with your Power BI reports. You do for the SQL Explorer with AI, the Dashboard Builder and the data API, because they work directly on your data warehouse. Data Analytics can set up that warehouse for you.
The Dashboard Builder (custom dashboards), the AI App Builder and custom apps are pilot modules. They work in practice, but are switched on per organisation and supported by Data Analytics.
Yes. One account can have access to several portals, for example for an accountant or a holding company with several subsidiaries. ENABLE determines on the server which portal someone is working in; knowing a portal ID does not grant access.
The portal is available in Dutch, English, French and German. The invitation emails can also be set per language.
In an online demo we show you the portal: dashboards per role, row-level security, plain-language questions and how we set it up and manage it for you.
