Salesforce data alongside your ERP. Via your own data warehouse.

With Salesforce data integration for reporting, you load data from Salesforce via the API into your own data warehouse and combine it with, for example, your ERP. In ENABLE you use the result in Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the Data API. ENABLE has no built-in Salesforce connector.

Via your data warehouseCRM

Salesforce data integration becomes interesting as soon as you want to see sales data alongside what has actually been invoiced and paid. Salesforce has its own reports and dashboards, but they mainly look at the CRM itself. For one view from lead to invoice, you bring Salesforce and ERP data together in a data warehouse.

In ENABLE you use Salesforce data via that warehouse. The data is loaded outside the portal via the Salesforce API, for example with a standard connector or a custom integration, and modelled. Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer and the Data API then read from the same model.

In ENABLE

What you do with Salesforce data

Pipeline and expected revenue

Opportunities by stage, owner and expected close date, with weighted expected revenue per month.

From opportunity to invoice

Link won opportunities to invoices from your ERP and see how much sold revenue has actually been invoiced.

Results per account manager

Revenue, margin and conversion per account manager, with row-level security so everyone sees only their own figures.

Ask questions in plain language

In the SQL Explorer you ask, for example, which accounts had no activity this quarter. The AI writes the SQL on your warehouse.

Steps

How to use Salesforce data in ENABLE

  1. 1IntakeWe determine which Salesforce objects and fields are needed, including custom fields, and choose the best loading route.
  2. 2Loading into your data warehouseData is loaded via the Salesforce API into your own PostgreSQL warehouse, outside the ENABLE portal.
  3. 3Modelling and linkingAccounts are linked to customer accounts in your ERP and opportunities to orders and invoices, via shared keys.
  4. 4Dashboards and AI in ENABLEPower BI reports and the SQL Explorer use the model. ENABLE reads encrypted and read-only.
  5. 5Access by roleAccess profiles and row-level security determine who sees which figures, for example per team or region.

Salesforce data integration with your ERP in one model

Most of the value of a CRM integration lies in the link with financial data. For that, you need to know which Salesforce account belongs to which customer account in your ERP. We record that relationship in the model, for example via an ERP customer number that is maintained in Salesforce. Where that key is missing, we agree during the intake on how to fill it in.

This creates one view of the customer: pipeline, won deals, invoices and outstanding items in one dashboard.

Salesforce reporting via a data warehouse: when?

For reports on the CRM itself, such as activities per salesperson, the reports in Salesforce are often enough. Salesforce Power BI reporting via a warehouse pays off when you want more:

  • Combine Salesforce data with your ERP, online shop or planning.
  • Keep snapshots of your pipeline, so you see how it develops over time.
  • Share dashboards with people who are not Salesforce users, such as senior management or external partners.
  • Ask questions in plain language about CRM and financial data at the same time.

Salesforce integration: what you need

Loading requires API access to Salesforce. Not every Salesforce edition includes this by default; we check that during the intake. You also need a user or app with read rights on the objects you want to access. ENABLE itself does not connect to Salesforce and does not write anything back to it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a standard integration with Salesforce?

No, not as a built-in connector. The data comes via your data warehouse: Salesforce data is loaded via the API, for example with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then used in ENABLE. We determine the best loading route during the intake.

What is Salesforce data integration?

Salesforce data integration means bringing together data from Salesforce with data from other systems, such as your ERP. For reporting and AI, this usually happens in a data warehouse, where accounts, opportunities and invoices are linked.

How do I connect Salesforce to Power BI?

Power BI can be connected directly to Salesforce, but if you want to combine Salesforce data with your ERP, you first load it into a data warehouse. There you build a model that Power BI calculates on. In ENABLE you share those reports with access by role.

Does ENABLE write data back to Salesforce?

No. ENABLE reads from your data warehouse in read-only mode and has no connection to Salesforce itself. You make changes to customer or sales data in Salesforce.
