Financial dashboard
Revenue, costs and result per month from the G/L transactions, compared with budget and last year.
Integration · AFAS Profit
For AFAS Power BI dashboards, you load data from AFAS Profit via the API, for example with GetConnectors, into your own data warehouse. There the data is modelled, after which you use it in ENABLE. ENABLE has no built-in AFAS connector; the connection runs via the warehouse.
AFAS Profit often holds the core of an organisation: finance, HR, projects and orders. With AFAS Power BI reporting, you make that data visible in dashboards and combine it with other sources, such as your CRM or planning.
In ENABLE you use AFAS data via your own data warehouse. The data is loaded outside the portal via the AFAS Profit API, for example with a standard connector or a custom integration on GetConnectors, and then modelled. Dashboards, the SQL Explorer and the Data API then read from the same model.
In ENABLE
Revenue, costs and result per month from the G/L transactions, compared with budget and last year.
Hours booked, costs and invoicing per project side by side, so you see where project results are under pressure.
Staffing, starters and leavers per department, visible only to the people who are allowed to see it.
In the SQL Explorer you ask, for example, for outstanding receivables per customer group. The AI writes the SQL on your warehouse.
Put AFAS data alongside your CRM, planning or online shop in one model, with shared keys such as customer or project number.
Steps
With an AFAS integration, you use GetConnectors in AFAS Profit to determine which data is available via the API. For each connector you choose which fields it contains, and you link the connectors to an app connector with its own token. That is also a form of governance: only the fields you need for reporting leave AFAS.
Whether you load the data with a standard connector or a custom integration on those GetConnectors is decided during the intake. ENABLE itself does not connect to AFAS Profit; the portal connects only to your data warehouse, encrypted and read-only.
AFAS often contains personal data, such as employees and salaries. For AFAS reporting, it is therefore important to choose deliberately what you load and who sees what.
FAQ
No, not as a built-in connector. The data comes via your data warehouse: AFAS Profit data is loaded via the API, for example with a standard connector or a custom integration on GetConnectors, and then used in ENABLE. We determine the best loading route during the intake.
Load the AFAS data via the API into a data warehouse, build a model with fixed definitions there and create the Power BI reports on that model. In ENABLE you then share those dashboards with access by role.
Yes, provided you choose deliberately what you load and who sees what. With access profiles and row-level security, you determine per user which dashboards and rows are visible. Load only the fields you really need.
Yes, if the data is in your data warehouse. In the SQL Explorer, the AI converts your question into SQL. The AI sees only table and column names, no rows of data, and every executed query is recorded in the audit log.
