What is white-label portal?

A white-label portal is a web environment that an organisation offers in its own branding, with its own logo, colours and text, while the technology comes from another supplier.

White-label portal explained

With a white-label portal, users see the name and look of the organisation offering it, not those of the supplier. This matters especially when you share dashboards with customers, dealers or franchisees: they sign in to your portal, in your branding.

The alternative is building a portal yourself, with sign-in, permission management, security and Power BI embedding. That is a lot of work to build and maintain. With a white-label solution those parts already exist and you only set up the branding and content.

Check what you can actually customise: logo and colours are standard, but the sign-in page, invitation emails and language also affect how professional it feels. And ask who manages the technology and where it runs.

Example

Acme Groothandel offers its dealers a reporting portal with its own logo, its green brand colour and a welcome text on the sign-in page. Dealers receive an invitation email in their own language and see no sign that the technology comes from another party.

White-label portal in ENABLE

ENABLE is a white-label customer portal: platform management sets, per organisation, the logo, primary and secondary colour, a light or dark theme, the sign-in background and text, the footer, visible menu items and invitation emails in Dutch, English, French or German.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does white-label mean?

White-label means a product from one supplier is offered under the name and branding of another organisation. Users only see that organisation's brand.

Why use a white-label portal?

Because you do not have to build and maintain a portal with sign-in, permission management and security yourself. Your customers still see your brand.

What can you customise in a white-label portal?

Usually the logo, colours, sign-in page, text and invitation emails. What exactly is possible differs per supplier.
