Connect DHL. Through your own data warehouse.

You use DHL data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for DHL.

What is DHL?

DHL is a German logistics group handling parcels, express shipments and freight. Businesses use it for domestic parcel delivery and for fast international shipments, including customs clearance.

How to use DHL data in ENABLE

Data from DHL is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Sendcloud or MyParcel puts DHL next to other carriers so you can compare costs and delivery times. Your ERP, such as Exact Online or Business Central, links shipments to orders and invoices.

Note: DHL consists of several divisions, such as parcel delivery and DHL Express, each with its own accounts, systems and invoices. Establish which divisions you use.

What you do with DHL data

Plain-language questions

  • “How many express shipments arrive after the promised delivery date, per country?”
  • “How long do international shipments spend in customs on average?”
  • “Which surcharges make up the largest cost item on DHL invoices?”
  • “How many parcels are delivered to a ServicePoint rather than to the home address?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in DHL connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from DHL is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which DHL data can you use?

Typically shipments with waybill number and service, tracking events with time and location, deliveries to a DHL ServicePoint and customs data for international express shipments. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about DHL data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect DHL?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
