Connect DPD. Through your own data warehouse.

You use DPD data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for DPD.

What is DPD?

DPD is an international parcel delivery network that mainly delivers business and online shop parcels across Europe. Recipients are given a delivery time slot in advance and can choose a pickup point.

How to use DPD data in ENABLE

Data from DPD is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Sendcloud or MyParcel lets you compare DPD with PostNL and DHL on cost and delivery time. Your shop shows whether customers who choose a pickup point reorder more often.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of parcels are delivered within the announced time slot?”
  • “How many parcels are taken to a Pickup point after a failed attempt?”
  • “How long does delivery to Germany and France take compared with the Netherlands?”
  • “What share of our shipments go with DPD, and is it cheaper per parcel?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in DPD connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from DPD is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which DPD data can you use?

Typically parcels with parcel number and service, scan events through the network, announced delivery time slot and delivery attempts and exceptions. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about DPD data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect DPD?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
