Connect UPS. Through your own data warehouse.

You use UPS data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for UPS.

What is UPS?

UPS is an American parcel and logistics company that carries parcels and freight worldwide. Businesses mainly use it for international shipments and for services with a guaranteed delivery time.

How to use UPS data in ENABLE

Data from UPS is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Your ERP or shop puts shipping costs next to order value and margin per customer. Sendcloud lets you compare UPS with other carriers for the same destinations.

Note: UPS invoices can include later adjustments, for example for weight or dimensions. Use the invoice lines for costs rather than only the rate shown when the label was created.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of shipments with a guaranteed delivery time arrive late?”
  • “How much do we pay UPS as a percentage of the revenue we ship with them?”
  • “How many shipments are reported as damaged, per destination?”
  • “How far do invoiced costs differ from what we expected when creating the label?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in UPS connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from UPS is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which UPS data can you use?

Typically shipments with tracking number and service level, tracking events, proof of delivery and exceptions such as damage or delay. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about UPS data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect UPS?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
