Connect Personio. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Personio data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Personio.

What is Personio?

Personio is German HR software for small and medium-sized businesses, covering personnel files, leave and absence, recruitment and onboarding in one system. HR teams use it to run people processes from application to departure in one place.

How to use Personio data in ENABLE

Data from Personio is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Absence from Personio set against hours from Harvest or Toggl Track shows how much capacity was really available. With payroll costs from your payroll or accounting system, such as Exact Online, you can also put a cost on absence and staff turnover.

Note: Sickness absence counts as health data under the GDPR. Use percentages per department in reports where possible and limit who can see absence for individual employees.

Plain-language questions

  • “How often do people call in sick in each department, and how long does an absence last on average?”
  • “How many days passed this year between opening a vacancy and the new hire starting?”
  • “Which office loses the most people within their first year?”
  • “How many applicants did a customer service vacancy at Acme Groothandel attract on average?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Personio connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Personio is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Personio data can you use?

Typically employee profiles with department, role and office, absences by type (holiday, sickness, special leave), leave balances and vacancies and applicants by stage. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Personio data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Personio?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
