Connect Airtable. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Airtable data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Airtable.

What is Airtable?

Airtable is an online platform that combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the structure of a database. Teams build their own bases with it, for content planning, project tracking, stock lists or simple relationship management, for example.

How to use Airtable data in ENABLE

Data from Airtable is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

An Airtable base next to time tracking from Harvest or Toggl Track shows how many hours a type of job really takes. Content plans from Airtable next to figures from Google Analytics 4 or YouTube Analytics show which publications deliver results.

Note: Linked records and lookup fields point to other tables in the base. For analysis you need to make those relationships explicit, otherwise you count records twice or lose the link.

Plain-language questions

  • “How many items did the content team complete per week, and is that going up or down?”
  • “How long does an item stay in the In progress status on average before it is done?”
  • “Which open items are older than thirty days, and who are they with?”
  • “What share of projects in the base was delivered on or before the deadline?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

How to connect Airtable

  1. 1Sketch the end resultFirst decide which questions and dashboards you want from Airtable data; that tells you which data is needed.
  2. 2Load into your data warehouseOutside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration. We decide which route fits during the intake.
  3. 3ModelTables and definitions that work with your other sources, so everyone sees the same numbers.
  4. 4Use in ENABLEPower BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API, with access profiles and optional row-level security.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Airtable connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Airtable is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Airtable data can you use?

Typically tables and records per base, linked records between tables, status and single-select fields and assigned collaborators. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Airtable data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Airtable?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
