Connect Google Sheets. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Google Sheets data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Google Sheets.

What is Google Sheets?

Google Sheets is Google's online spreadsheet program and part of Google Workspace. Teams use it to keep lists and overviews up to date together, at the same time, in the browser.

How to use Google Sheets data in ENABLE

Data from Google Sheets is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Spend that marketing tracks in Google Sheets only becomes meaningful next to leads from HubSpot or Salesforce and revenue from the accounts. Count results from a sheet next to stock in Picqer or Exact Online show how reliable the booked stock is.

Note: A Google Sheet is often edited by several people at once. Agree who may add or rename columns, because a changed column header can break a report.

Plain-language questions

  • “What did a lead cost per channel, dividing the spend in the marketing sheet by the number of leads?”
  • “How many leads from last month's trade fair are now a deal in the CRM?”
  • “How large were the differences between counted and booked stock at the last stocktake?”
  • “Which teams are ahead of or behind their quarterly target?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Google Sheets connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Google Sheets is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Google Sheets data can you use?

Typically marketing budgets and spend per channel, targets per team or employee, google Forms responses and lead lists from trade fairs and events. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Google Sheets data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Google Sheets?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
