What is Dynamics 365 Sales?

Dynamics 365 Sales is Microsoft's CRM application for managing leads, opportunities and customer relationships. It runs on Microsoft Dataverse and is mostly chosen by organisations that already rely heavily on Microsoft 365 and other Dynamics products.

How to use Dynamics 365 Sales data in ENABLE

Data from Dynamics 365 Sales is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Combined with Business Central, you can follow a won opportunity through to orders, invoices and margin per customer. Add LinkedIn Ads and you see which campaigns bring in leads that genuinely qualify in Dynamics 365 Sales.

Note: Choice fields such as status or lost reason are stored in Dataverse as numbers. For readable reports you need the matching labels from the metadata.

Plain-language questions

  • “What is the weighted pipeline per business unit for next quarter?”
  • “What share of the quotes we sent in the last six months became an order?”
  • “How many opportunities have an estimated close date that has already passed?”
  • “Is the South team's pipeline large enough to hit this quarter's target?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Dynamics 365 Sales connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Dynamics 365 Sales is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Dynamics 365 Sales data can you use?

Typically accounts and contacts, leads and their qualification, opportunities with estimated value and probability and quotes, orders and invoices. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Dynamics 365 Sales data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Dynamics 365 Sales?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
