Connect Dynamics 365 Finance. Through your own data warehouse.
You use Dynamics 365 Finance data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Dynamics 365 Finance.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is Microsoft's financial ERP system for large and international organisations. It grew out of Dynamics AX and is used for the general ledger, receivables, payables, fixed assets and budgeting.
How to use Dynamics 365 Finance data in ENABLE
Data from Dynamics 365 Finance is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.
Dynamics 365 Finance is often combined with Dynamics 365 Sales for pipeline and order intake, and with HR data from Personio or HiBob to explain personnel costs per entity and department.
Note: Dynamics 365 Finance works with legal entities and financial dimensions. Several entities with their own currencies are the rule rather than the exception, so settle consolidation and currency conversion up front.

What you do with Dynamics 365 Finance data
Plain-language questions
“What is the EBITDA per legal entity, converted to euros?”
“Which departments, by financial dimension, deviate most from the approved budget?”
“How have receivable and payable days developed over the last twelve months?”
“How much depreciation will the current fixed assets generate next year?”
The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer
Does ENABLE have a built-in Dynamics 365 Finance connector?
No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Dynamics 365 Finance is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.
Which Dynamics 365 Finance data can you use?
Typically general ledger entries, financial dimensions, customer invoices and transactions and vendor invoices and transactions. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.
Can I ask questions about Dynamics 365 Finance data in plain language?
Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.
What does it cost to connect Dynamics 365 Finance?
The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
