What is Odoo?

Odoo is a Belgian ERP suite with separate apps for sales, CRM, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, accounting and e-commerce, among others. Organisations often start with a few apps and add more later.

How to use Odoo data in ENABLE

Data from Odoo is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Odoo covers many processes itself, but marketing data from Google Ads or Meta Ads shows which campaigns produce leads that turn into orders in Odoo. Shipping data from Sendcloud or PostNL tells you whether orders reach customers on time.

Note: Odoo comes in a Community and an Enterprise edition and runs online, on Odoo.sh or on your own servers. Which apps you use determines which data is available.

Does ENABLE have a built-in Odoo connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Odoo is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Odoo data can you use?

Typically quotations and sales orders, invoices and journal entries, products and stock moves and purchase orders. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Odoo data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Odoo?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
