Connect Twinfield. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Twinfield data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Twinfield.

What is Twinfield?

Twinfield is an online accounting package from Wolters Kluwer. It is widely used by accountancy and bookkeeping firms, and by businesses that keep their books together with their accountant.

How to use Twinfield data in ENABLE

Data from Twinfield is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Twinfield transactions are often set against time entries from Simplicate or Harvest, so you can see the costs and revenue booked per project. Adding payroll data from Nmbrs or Loket.nl shows personnel costs per department.

Note: If an accountancy firm keeps several sets of books for you, they often sit side by side in one Twinfield environment. Decide up front which administrations belong in your reporting.

What you do with Twinfield data

Plain-language questions

  • “How many days do our customers take to pay on average, and does that change from quarter to quarter?”
  • “Which cost centres are more than 10% over budget this year?”
  • “Which suppliers do we consistently pay later than their payment terms?”
  • “How do operating costs compare with revenue, month by month?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Twinfield connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Twinfield is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Twinfield data can you use?

Typically general ledger accounts, transactions per journal, customers and open items and suppliers and open items. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Twinfield data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Twinfield?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
