Connect Xero. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Xero data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Xero.

What is Xero?

Xero is an online accounting platform from New Zealand, used internationally by small and medium-sized businesses. Business owners and their accountants work together in the same set of books.

How to use Xero data in ENABLE

Data from Xero is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Xero is often combined with Shopify or Stripe, so sales and payouts sit next to the books. With Deel or Gusto for payroll, the full personnel cost per country or team comes into view.

Plain-language questions

  • “How does our working capital develop at the end of each month?”
  • “Which tracking category, such as region or branch, deviates most from budget?”
  • “Which bills fall due in the next two weeks?”
  • “How does the net profit margin this financial year compare with last year?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Xero connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Xero is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Xero data can you use?

Typically invoices and credit notes, bills, contacts and bank transactions. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Xero data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Xero?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
