Connect Asana. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Asana data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Asana.

What is Asana?

Asana is work management software in which teams plan and track tasks, projects and goals. It is used widely, from marketing and operations to product teams.

How to use Asana data in ENABLE

Data from Asana is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Projects from Asana next to campaign results from Google Ads or Meta Ads show whether campaigns went live on time and what they delivered. With team data from HiBob you can set workload against team size.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of projects this year finished on or before the planned end date?”
  • “How many tasks does the marketing team complete each week, and is that changing?”
  • “Which tasks are past their due date, and who owns them?”
  • “How long does a task take on average from creation to completion, by project?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Asana connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Asana is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Asana data can you use?

Typically tasks with owner, due date and status, projects and sections, subtasks and created and completed dates per task. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Asana data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Asana?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
