Connect Notion. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Notion data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Notion.

What is Notion?

Notion is a workspace for documents, wikis and databases that teams shape themselves. Many organisations build their own trackers in it, such as a task list, content calendar or client overview.

How to use Notion data in ENABLE

Data from Notion is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

A content database from Notion next to search data from Google Search Console shows which published articles bring in traffic. With deals from Pipedrive you can check whether client agreements recorded in Notion turn into revenue.

Note: Every Notion database has its own properties that users create and rename themselves. A renamed or deleted property can break reports, so keep the structure stable.

What you do with Notion data

Plain-language questions

  • “How many items in our task database were set to Done this month?”
  • “Which items have been open for more than a month without any change?”
  • “How many articles in the content calendar were published this quarter, by author?”
  • “How long does it take on average from creation to completion, by item type?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Notion connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Notion is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Notion data can you use?

Typically databases with self-defined properties, pages as rows in a database, status, date and person properties and relations between databases. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Notion data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Notion?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
