What is Toggl Track?

Toggl Track is a time tracking app with a timer and manual entry, organised by client, project and tag. Freelancers and teams use it to see where their time goes and to record billable hours.

How to use Toggl Track data in ENABLE

Data from Toggl Track is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Hours from Toggl Track next to invoices from Moneybird or Xero give the revenue per hour worked for each client. With absence from Personio or Factorial you can tell whether low utilisation comes from leave or from too little work.

Note: Hours are only as complete as the team's tracking. Check that everyone has logged their time before drawing conclusions about utilisation.

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Toggl Track is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Toggl Track data can you use?

Typically time entries with start, end and duration, projects and clients, tags and descriptions per entry and billable or non-billable. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Toggl Track data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.
