Connect Productive. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Productive data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Productive.

What is Productive?

Productive is software for agencies and service businesses that brings projects, budgets, time tracking, resource planning and invoicing together. It focuses on showing profitability per project and per client.

How to use Productive data in ENABLE

Data from Productive is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Project margins from Productive next to the general ledger in Xero or Exact Online show whether project results match the financial figures. With leave from HiBob or Personio, resource plans become more realistic.

Plain-language questions

  • “Which people had the most hours without booked client work last month?”
  • “How much of each live project's budget has been used, compared with its progress?”
  • “What is the margin per client when cost rates are set against invoiced amounts?”
  • “What share of logged billable hours was actually invoiced?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Productive connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Productive is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Productive data can you use?

Typically projects and budgets, time entries per person and service, resource planning and bookings and cost rates and billing rates. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Productive data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Productive?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
