Connect Linear. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Linear data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Linear.

What is Linear?

Linear is issue tracking and product planning software built for software teams. Teams work with issues, fixed-length cycles, projects with target dates and roadmaps.

How to use Linear data in ENABLE

Data from Linear is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Issues from Linear next to conversations from Intercom or Zendesk show how quickly customer feedback reaches the product. With subscription data from Stripe or Chargebee you can see whether shipped features coincide with fewer cancellations.

What you do with Linear data

Plain-language questions

  • “How long does an issue take on average from start to completion, by team?”
  • “How many estimate points did each team complete per cycle?”
  • “Which projects will miss their target date at the current rate of progress?”
  • “How many urgent bugs have been open for more than a week?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Linear connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Linear is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Linear data can you use?

Typically issues with status, priority and estimate, cycles with start and end dates, projects with target date and progress and teams and assignees. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Linear data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Linear?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
