Connect Trello. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Trello data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Trello.

What is Trello?

Trello is a visual tool from Atlassian in which work sits on cards that you move across lists on a board. Small teams use it for simple kanban processes, from content planning to client onboarding.

How to use Trello data in ENABLE

Data from Trello is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Cards from Trello next to traffic from Google Analytics 4 show how quickly content goes from idea to live and what it brings in. With conversations from Help Scout you can link customer requests to the work they lead to.

Note: In Trello, the list a card sits in usually is its status. Cycle time therefore comes from the history of card moves rather than from a fixed status field.

What you do with Trello data

Plain-language questions

  • “How many cards reached the Done list each week?”
  • “How long does a card take on average to move from To do to Done?”
  • “Which cards have been in Doing for more than two weeks?”
  • “Which labels appear most often on cards that go past their due date?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Trello connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Trello is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Trello data can you use?

Typically boards and lists, cards with title, labels and due date, members per card and checklists. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Trello data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Trello?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
