Connect eBay. Through your own data warehouse.

You use eBay data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for eBay.

What is eBay?

eBay is an international online marketplace where individuals and businesses sell new and used items, either at a fixed price or by auction. Business sellers use it as an extra sales channel alongside their own shop.

How to use eBay data in ENABLE

Data from eBay is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Together with Amazon Seller Central and your own shop you can compare net proceeds per marketplace. Channable shows which products are in the feed but are not selling on eBay.

Plain-language questions

  • “What percentage of our listings sell within thirty days?”
  • “What are our total eBay fees as a percentage of revenue, by month?”
  • “Do auctions earn more per item than fixed-price listings?”
  • “Which categories generate the most return requests?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in eBay connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from eBay is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which eBay data can you use?

Typically orders and sold items, listings with format (fixed price or auction), final value fees and other eBay fees and payouts. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about eBay data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect eBay?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
