Connect Lightspeed. Through your own data warehouse.
You use Lightspeed data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Lightspeed.
Lightspeed provides point-of-sale and e-commerce software for retail and hospitality. Businesses use it to record sales in the shop, the restaurant or the online store and to keep track of their stock.
How to use Lightspeed data in ENABLE
Data from Lightspeed is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.
Shopify or another online shop lets you see in-store and online sales side by side per item. Your accounting package, such as Exact Online, lets you reconcile till revenue with the daily close in the general ledger.
Note: Lightspeed has separate products for retail, hospitality and e-commerce, each with its own data structure. Establish first which product you use.

Plain-language questions
“At which hours and on which days does each location take the most revenue?”
“Which items sell well in store but hardly at all online?”
“What percentage of a new collection has sold after six weeks?”
“What share of payments is still cash, per location?”
The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer
No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Lightspeed is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.
Which Lightspeed data can you use?
Typically sales and receipts with timestamps, receipt lines per item, items with cost and retail price and stock per location. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.
Can I ask questions about Lightspeed data in plain language?
Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.
What does it cost to connect Lightspeed?
The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
