Connect Shopify. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Shopify data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Shopify.

What is Shopify?

Shopify is a hosted e-commerce platform that lets you run an online shop without managing your own servers. It is used by everyone from small brands to larger retailers, often together with apps from the Shopify App Store and a point of sale for physical shops.

How to use Shopify data in ENABLE

Data from Shopify is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Google Analytics 4 adds traffic and conversion by channel alongside the orders. Exact Online or another accounting package lets you set shop revenue against booked revenue and cost of goods, so you can see margin per order.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of our customers place a second order within a year?”
  • “How much revenue came from orders with a discount code last month?”
  • “Which variants are refunded most often?”
  • “How has average order value moved month by month since the price increase?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Shopify connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Shopify is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Shopify data can you use?

Typically orders with order, payment and fulfilment status, order lines per product and variant, customers and their order history and products, variants and collections. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Shopify data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Shopify?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
