Connect Stripe. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Stripe data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Stripe.

What is Stripe?

Stripe is a payments platform for internet businesses, from online shops to SaaS providers and marketplaces. Besides one-off payments it supports subscriptions, invoicing and payouts to third parties.

How to use Stripe data in ENABLE

Data from Stripe is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

HubSpot or Salesforce links subscriptions to accounts and deals, so you can see growth and churn per segment. Your accounting package, such as Xero or Exact Online, lets you reconcile payouts and fees with the general ledger.

Note: Stripe stores amounts in the smallest currency unit, such as cents. Divide by one hundred (for most currencies) before reporting amounts.

Plain-language questions

  • “How many failed subscription payments are recovered within fourteen days?”
  • “What is our monthly recurring revenue per plan?”
  • “What share of disputes do we win, and for which reasons are they opened?”
  • “How much do we pay in Stripe fees as a percentage of revenue?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Stripe connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Stripe is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Stripe data can you use?

Typically payments and charges with status, refunds, disputes (chargebacks) and customers and payment methods. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Stripe data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Stripe?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
