Connect Google BigQuery. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Google BigQuery data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Google BigQuery.

What is Google BigQuery?

Google BigQuery is Google Cloud's serverless data warehouse, where you query large volumes of data with SQL without managing any servers. It is a common home for marketing data, because Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads can export to it directly.

How to use Google BigQuery data in ENABLE

Data from Google BigQuery is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Website behaviour from BigQuery next to orders from Shopify or WooCommerce and deals from HubSpot shows which campaigns lead to real revenue, not just clicks. With costs from Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads you can compare channels on the same outcome.

Note: The Google Analytics 4 export contains raw events with nested parameters. Counts can differ from what you see in the GA4 interface, because the interface applies its own calculations and thresholds.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of sessions per channel led to a purchase last month?”
  • “What did each euro spent on Google Ads return, by campaign?”
  • “How much revenue does a visitor bring in on average, by landing page?”
  • “What did a new customer cost per channel once all ad spend is counted?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

How to connect Google BigQuery

  1. 1Sketch the end resultFirst decide which questions and dashboards you want from Google BigQuery data; that tells you which data is needed.
  2. 2Load into your data warehouseOutside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration. We decide which route fits during the intake.
  3. 3ModelTables and definitions that work with your other sources, so everyone sees the same numbers.
  4. 4Use in ENABLEPower BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API, with access profiles and optional row-level security.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Google BigQuery connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Google BigQuery is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Google BigQuery data can you use?

Typically raw events from the Google Analytics 4 export, campaign and cost data from Google Ads, search performance from Google Search Console and events from Firebase apps. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Google BigQuery data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Google BigQuery?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
