Connect SQLite. Through your own data warehouse.

You use SQLite data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for SQLite.

What is SQLite?

SQLite is a small SQL database that lives entirely in a single file and needs no separate server. It is built into many desktop and mobile apps, devices and utilities that store data locally.

How to use SQLite data in ENABLE

Data from SQLite is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Counts from a SQLite app next to stock in Picqer or your ERP, such as Exact Online, show where the records differ from what is actually on the shelves. With production orders from Business Central you can set scrap per machine against planned output.

Plain-language questions

  • “How far do counted quantities per location differ from the stock in the system?”
  • “What share of the units produced was logged as scrap at each terminal?”
  • “What was the average transaction value per day while the till was recording offline?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

Steps

How to connect SQLite

  1. 1Sketch the end resultFirst decide which questions and dashboards you want from SQLite data; that tells you which data is needed.
  2. 2Load into your data warehouseOutside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration. We decide which route fits during the intake.
  3. 3ModelTables and definitions that work with your other sources, so everyone sees the same numbers.
  4. 4Use in ENABLEPower BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API, with access profiles and optional row-level security.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in SQLite connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from SQLite is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which SQLite data can you use?

Typically local data from a desktop or mobile app, counts from a scanning or stocktake app, records from a production terminal or measuring device and transactions captured offline, for example by a till. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about SQLite data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect SQLite?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
