Connect Supabase. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Supabase data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Supabase.

What is Supabase?

Supabase is an open-source backend platform built on PostgreSQL, adding authentication, file storage, realtime updates and functions. Start-ups and developers use it to build an app or SaaS product quickly without running their own backend.

How to use Supabase data in ENABLE

Data from Supabase is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Usage data from Supabase next to payments from Stripe shows which behaviour during a trial leads to a paid subscription. With campaign data from Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads you can work back to what an active customer costs.

Note: Supabase keeps user accounts in a separate schema (auth), apart from your own tables. To analyse usage per user, you join the two on the user ID.

What you do with Supabase data

Plain-language questions

  • “How many new accounts created their first project within their first week?”
  • “What share of trial accounts become paying customers within thirty days?”
  • “How do daily active users compare with monthly active users?”
  • “How is monthly recurring revenue developing per plan?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

How to connect Supabase

  1. 1Sketch the end resultFirst decide which questions and dashboards you want from Supabase data; that tells you which data is needed.
  2. 2Load into your data warehouseOutside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration. We decide which route fits during the intake.
  3. 3ModelTables and definitions that work with your other sources, so everyone sees the same numbers.
  4. 4Use in ENABLEPower BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API, with access profiles and optional row-level security.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Supabase connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Supabase is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Supabase data can you use?

Typically your own application tables in the public schema, user accounts and sign-in times, customer organisations or workspaces and subscriptions and plans. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Supabase data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Supabase?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
