Connect Instagram. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Instagram data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Instagram.

What is Instagram?

Instagram is Meta's social network for photos, videos, reels and stories. Businesses use a professional account to build organic visibility for their brand and gain insight into reach and interaction.

How to use Instagram data in ENABLE

Data from Instagram is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Add Google Analytics 4 and you see how many visitors Instagram sends to the site and what they do there. Next to Meta Ads, you keep organic and paid reach apart and see whether ads bring in followers.

Note: Insights are only available for business and creator accounts, not for personal accounts.

Plain-language questions

  • “Which reels from last quarter got the most shares and saves relative to their reach?”
  • “On which days and at what times does a post get the highest engagement?”
  • “Is our follower count growing faster since we started posting more reels?”
  • “How much website traffic comes in through Instagram, and does it convert?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Instagram connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Instagram is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Instagram data can you use?

Typically posts, reels and stories, reach and views per post, likes, comments, shares and saves and followers and follower growth. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Instagram data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Instagram?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
