Connect Mailchimp. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Mailchimp data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Mailchimp.

What is Mailchimp?

Mailchimp is an email marketing platform, part of Intuit, offering newsletters, automated email sequences and sign-up forms. It is widely used by small businesses, organisations and online shops.

How to use Mailchimp data in ENABLE

Data from Mailchimp is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Add Google Analytics 4 and you see what recipients do on your site after clicking. Next to orders from Shopify or your ERP, you see which campaigns bring in real revenue, not just clicks.

Note: Mailchimp counts contacts separately in each audience. Someone who sits in two audiences is counted in both, which distorts totals across audiences.

Plain-language questions

  • “Which newsletter this year had the highest click rate, and which link got the most clicks?”
  • “Has the unsubscribe rate gone up since we moved from monthly to weekly emails?”
  • “How many orders were placed within a week of a campaign, per segment?”
  • “Which segments have not opened a single email in the last six months?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Mailchimp connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Mailchimp is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Mailchimp data can you use?

Typically audiences and contacts, tags and segments, campaigns and automations (customer journeys). Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Mailchimp data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Mailchimp?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
