Connect YouTube Analytics. Through your own data warehouse.

You use YouTube Analytics data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for YouTube Analytics.

What is YouTube Analytics?

YouTube Analytics is the analytics section of YouTube Studio where channel owners see how their videos perform. Businesses with their own channel use it to follow viewing behaviour, subscribers and where views come from.

How to use YouTube Analytics data in ENABLE

Data from YouTube Analytics is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Add Google Analytics 4 and you see how many viewers follow links in the description to the site and what they do there. Next to Google Ads, where video campaigns are managed, you keep paid and organic views apart.

Plain-language questions

  • “In which videos do more than half of viewers drop off within the first minute?”
  • “Which thumbnails have the highest click-through rate, and does that also lead to more watch time?”
  • “How many views come from YouTube search and how many from recommendations?”
  • “Which videos brought in the most new subscribers this year?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in YouTube Analytics connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from YouTube Analytics is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which YouTube Analytics data can you use?

Typically videos and playlists, views and watch time, average view duration and audience retention and thumbnail impressions and their click-through rate. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about YouTube Analytics data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect YouTube Analytics?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
