Connect Microsoft Advertising. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Microsoft Advertising data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Microsoft Advertising.

What is Microsoft Advertising?

Microsoft Advertising is Microsoft's advertising platform for search ads on Bing and partner search engines, complemented by ads in the Microsoft Audience Network. It is often run alongside Google Ads to reach extra search traffic.

How to use Microsoft Advertising data in ENABLE

Data from Microsoft Advertising is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Next to Google Ads, you see your total search spend and results in one overview. Add Google Analytics 4 and orders from your shop or ERP to check that reported conversions are real revenue.

Note: Campaigns are often imported straight from Google Ads, so names are identical on both platforms. Keep the platform as a separate attribute, otherwise results get mixed up.

Plain-language questions

  • “What does a conversion through Microsoft Advertising cost compared with the same campaign in Google Ads?”
  • “Which search terms convert on Bing that we do not see in Google Ads?”
  • “What percentage of our total search budget goes to Microsoft Advertising, and what share of revenue comes from it?”
  • “On which devices do our Bing campaigns perform best?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Microsoft Advertising connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Microsoft Advertising is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Microsoft Advertising data can you use?

Typically accounts, campaigns and ad groups, keywords and search terms, ads and impressions, clicks and spend. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Microsoft Advertising data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Microsoft Advertising?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
