Connect Mixpanel. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Mixpanel data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Mixpanel.

What is Mixpanel?

Mixpanel is a product analytics tool that measures how users interact with an app or web application, based on events. Product teams, often at software companies, use it for funnels, retention and the impact of new features.

How to use Mixpanel data in ENABLE

Data from Mixpanel is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Next to Stripe or Chargebee, you see whether product usage is linked to revenue and cancellations. Add HubSpot and account managers can see which customers rarely use the product.

Note: Mixpanel is only as useful as the tracking plan behind it. Event names and properties that have changed over time make analysis across longer periods difficult.

Plain-language questions

  • “What share of new users completes the core action within seven days?”
  • “How do daily active users compare with monthly active users, and does it differ by plan?”
  • “At which onboarding step do most trial users drop out?”
  • “Do customers who use the new reporting feature use the product more often than those who do not?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Mixpanel connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Mixpanel is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Mixpanel data can you use?

Typically events with properties, user profiles, group profiles, for example per company account and cohorts. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Mixpanel data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Mixpanel?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
