Connect Semrush. Through your own data warehouse.

You use Semrush data in ENABLE through your own PostgreSQL data warehouse: the data is loaded and modelled there, and dashboards, plain-language questions and apps read from it. ENABLE has no built-in connector for Semrush.

What is Semrush?

Semrush is a software suite for keyword research, SEO and competitor analysis. Marketers and agencies use it to track rankings, find keyword opportunities and run technical checks on websites.

How to use Semrush data in ENABLE

Data from Semrush is loaded outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration, and then modelled in your data warehouse. Data Analytics sets this up. From then on Power BI dashboards, the SQL Explorer with AI and the data API read from the same model, and access profiles decide who sees what.

Next to Google Search Console, you set estimated rankings and volumes against your actual clicks and impressions. Add Google Analytics 4 to see whether higher rankings also bring more conversions.

Note: Traffic and search volume figures in Semrush are estimates based on Semrush's own data. For your own site, Search Console and your web analytics are more accurate; Semrush is strongest at comparing you with others.

Plain-language questions

  • “For which keywords has our position dropped most over the last quarter?”
  • “Which keywords does a competitor rank in the top 10 for where we do not appear at all?”
  • “How many new referring domains did we gain this year, and how many did we lose?”
  • “Which technical issues from the site audit affect the most pages?”

The SQL Explorer with AI turns a question like this into SQL on your data warehouse. You see the query, run it yourself, and the AI only receives metadata. More about the SQL Explorer

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does ENABLE have a built-in Semrush connector?

No. ENABLE reads from your own PostgreSQL data warehouse. Data from Semrush is loaded into it outside the portal, with a standard connector or a custom integration; we decide which route fits during the intake.

Which Semrush data can you use?

Typically tracked keywords and positions, search volume and keyword difficulty, competing domains and backlinks and referring domains. Exactly which tables you use depends on the questions you want to answer: Data Analytics first sketches the end result and then connects the data it needs.

Can I ask questions about Semrush data in plain language?

Yes, with the SQL Explorer with AI. The AI turns your question into SQL on your data warehouse and only receives metadata for that, such as table and column names, never the rows themselves. The SQL Explorer is available to client admins by default and can be switched on for users per organisation.

What does it cost to connect Semrush?

The price of ENABLE depends on your plan. Each plan includes a number of data sources, from 2 on Solo to 50 on Enterprise+, and an extra data source costs €49 per month. Prices are indicative; after a demo and intake you receive a tailored proposal.
